WEIL FELIX TEST

A classic but non-specific agglutination test that detects antibodies cross-reacting with Proteus antigens. Was used to diagnose rickettsial infections like scrub typhus and epidemic typhus.

Typically prescribed for: Rickettsial Infections (Scrub Typhus, Epidemic Typhus) – Largely replaced by better tests. etc.
