RED CELL DISTRIBUTION WIDTH ( RDW )

A measure of the variation in size of red blood cells. A high RDW indicates a mixed population of large and small cells, seen in nutritional deficiencies like iron or B12 deficiency.

Typically prescribed for: Anemia (especially mixed deficiencies) etc.
