The ENA profile is a test for autoantibodies against extractable nuclear antigens. While antibodies normally defend against infections, autoantibodies can attack the body’s own tissues. This test is typically prescribed for autoimmune diseases such as lupus, Sjögren’s syndrome, or scleroderma.
