D – DIMER

Measures D-dimer, a small protein fragment present in the blood after a blood clot is degraded. A negative test helps rule out thrombotic events like DVT and PE.

Typically prescribed for: Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), Pulmonary Embolism (PE), Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC) etc.
